Rihanna Takes Flight
The winner of our Cover Wars, Harper’s Bazaar, have a more reverting cover story on the inside. Rihanna channels Amelia Earhart, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, in the most dignified way in the pages of Harper’s Bazaar. Mariano Vivanco photographs Rihanna is an aviation setting sporting all of this seasons signature pieces. The clothes used for this photo shoot were feminine with a touch of bad-ass. Women in roles that society reserves for men find themselves often dressing more masculine in order to fit in. In this issue Rihanna shows you how to look professional and feminine at the same time.
“There’s something so special about a woman who dominates in a man’s world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper’s Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys.” —Rihanna
