A STORY THAT INVOLVES A SCAMMER, ED SHEERAN AND THE SUPER BOWL
TMZ reports that a scammer posed as Ed Sheeran‘s manager to dupe a charity, The Giving Back Fun.
The scammer contacted The Giving Back Fund pretending to be Ed Sheeran‘s manager, proposing Ed Sheeran would perform two songs at the nonprofit’s pre-Super Bowl event for four VIP tickets. The VIP tickets are reportedly worth $50,000. After Ed Sheeran did not show up for the charity event The Giving Back Foundation they realized it was a scam. They then found out that Ed Sheeran was on tour in Australia. The charity then called law officials and tried to apprehend the scammer on Super Bowl day, hopefully not during the halftime show. Turns out the scammer sold the tickets, of course, and is still at large.
